Canadian rockers Steve Creep and the Wildcards are back with their electrifying new single, “Revolution Radio”, a high-energy, guitar-driven anthem that cements their place in the modern rock scene. Following the success of their debut single "Wind Me Up", which amassed 95,000 streams on Spotify, the band is ready to keep the momentum going with their latest release.
A Sound That Bridges Eras
Blending the raw power of ‘70s classic rock, the attitude of punk, and the infectious hooks of ‘90s power pop, Steve Creep and the Wildcards craft a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. With influences ranging from Cheap Trick and Thin Lizzy to The Clash and Green Day, their music delivers melodic harmonies, anthemic choruses, and razor-sharp guitar riffs.
From Lockdown to the Stage
The journey began when frontman Steve Creep reconnected with longtime friend Tom Shemer (of The Damn Truth) during the COVID lockdown. Encouraged to record his first solo project, Steve took on all instruments and vocals for what would become a four-song EP, with Shemer as producer and engineer. However, rather than releasing the music under a solo moniker, Steve sought a full band identity, leading to the formation of The Wildcards—a powerhouse lineup featuring Scott Mitchell (bass, vocals), Will Laurin (drums), and Phil Di Sessa (guitar).
The Road Ahead
With “Revolution Radio”, the band delivers their signature hard-hitting yet melody-infused sound, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead. Produced by Tom Shemer and mastered by Dave Traina (The Damn Truth), the single captures the vintage rock spirit with a modern edge.
