Australian singer-songwriter Andy Jans-Brown unveils "Growing Pains", the fifth single from his forthcoming album Airport Departure Lounge. Blending thoughtful lyricism with cinematic indie rock, the track reflects on uncertainty, change, and the emotional challenges of navigating an increasingly complex world.

Using adolescence as a metaphor, "Growing Pains" explores the idea that growth is rarely comfortable. Set against the backdrop of 1984, the song connects memories of youth with the anxieties of the present, suggesting that uncertainty is not a sign of decline, but a natural part of transformation.

Like the album it comes from, Airport Departure Lounge, the single inhabits the space between endings and new beginnings. Inspired by the modern airport terminal as a metaphor for transition, the album examines what it means to search for connection, hope, and humanity while living in a world that feels permanently in motion.

Driven by Grant Gerathy's dynamic drumming and elevated by Cameron Spike-Porter's expansive guitar arrangements, "Growing Pains" balances emotional vulnerability with soaring indie rock energy, offering a quietly optimistic perspective: perhaps the discomfort we feel today is evidence that we are still growing.
