Brazilian hard rock outfit Insanidade has dropped the official music video for “Black Thunder”, one of the standout tracks from their fourth studio album Enough to Be a Loser (2024). Directed by Ygor Silva of Macabro Studio, the video is a wild ride that blends the campy, blood-soaked aesthetic of cult B-horror films from the ’60s and ’70s with pure rock’n’roll adrenaline.
The track comes from Enough to Be a Loser, described by the band as their heaviest and most ambitious work to date. The album features nine explosive tracks – eight originals plus a searing cover of Mötley Crüe’s “Looks That Kill”. Drawing inspiration from rock legends like Motörhead, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, and The Hellacopters, Insanidade channels the raw, high-octane spirit of ’70s and ’80s Hard n’ Heavy while infusing it with a modern edge.
Formed in Goiânia, the band consists of Lucas Tamandaré (vocals), Luis Maldonalle (guitar), Gustavo Vasquez (bass), and Rodrigo Miranda (drums). Together, they deliver a visceral and uncompromising sound defined by crushing riffs, thunderous rhythms, and rebellious lyrics. With “Black Thunder”, Insanidade not only pays homage to rock’s unruly past but also reasserts their place in the Brazilian underground scene as one of the most electrifying bands of their generation.
