Formed in 2022 in Balneário Camboriú/SC, brøken emerged from an unlikely encounter of musicians driven by an urgent need to express themselves. From day one, the band established a distinct identity—visually, sonically, and in attitude—carving out its space in the Brazilian underground scene by creating music that genuinely resonates with its audience.
Their rapid ascent is evidenced by a dedicated fanbase, boasting over 100,000 Instagram followers, 80,000 on TikTok, and an impressive 243,000 plays for their debut EP, "chorar / sorrir" (cry / smile), in its first month alone. Today, total streams for the EP are nearing 2 million. This success has been achieved entirely independently, with the band's vocalist handling recording, mixing, and mastering from a home studio that doubles as the band's creative hub. They describe their unique sound as "emocore rajada": authentic rock, heavy, full of attitude, and unmistakably their own.
"recomeçar" is set to drop on April 30, 2026, accompanied by a compelling music video directed by Bap Films (Henrique Baptista - Sea Smile, Supermad). The track is driven by a massive and distinctive guitar riff, reinforcing the band's potent and unique personality. It unveils a new, more organic and visceral facet of brøken's identity.
