Brazilian band Epitáfone Release Debut Single "Gosto Tanto"

Rising from the independent scene of Curitiba, epitáfone introduce themselves with their debut single Gosto Tanto, a track that blends alternative rock, pop punk, and ska punk influences into a nostalgic yet refreshing sound. Formed at the end of 2022 by Franco Nicolai (vocals and guitar) and Guilherme Munhoz (bass and backing vocals), the band has quickly stood out for their direct songwriting and irreverent style.

Gosto Tanto revolves around a simple yet universal question many have silently asked themselves: “Why do I like you so much?” With raw and straightforward lyrics, the song reflects on the mystery of attraction — when feelings arrive with intensity, defying logic or explanation. Musically, it combines punchy riffs and a lively brass arrangement that gives the track its unique identity, evoking the golden moments of Brazilian rock in the 1990s and 2000s.

Accompanying the release, the official music video brings this narrative to life with a playful, irreverent take. Featuring humorous scenes of a couple in crisis, the video has already resonated strongly with audiences, surpassing 140,000 views on YouTube within weeks of release.

Epitáfone are currently working on their first full-length album, scheduled for release at the end of 2025, featuring eight brand-new original tracks. With Gosto Tanto, the band delivers a bold first step, positioning themselves as one of the most promising new voices in Brazil’s independent rock scene.
