4ft Fingers return with renewed energy and urgency on “Better Days”, their first new single since 2008. Hailing from Cheltenham, UK, the powerhouse punk rock band marks a long-awaited new chapter with the track, set for release on December 12th via Disconnect Disconnect Records.
Clocking in at just over three minutes, “Better Days” is a sharp reminder that 4ft Fingers have lost none of their ability to deliver fast, melodic, and emotionally charged punk rock. Packed with driving rhythms, soaring hooks and raw intensity, the single captures the band’s trademark sound while reflecting a more mature and experienced perspective. According to guitarist Tom Saunders, the song is fueled by the same angst and urgency the band is known for, blending speed and melody with their punk rock’n’roll-with-soul roots, while lyrically addressing the highs and lows of life.
Formed in the late 1990s, 4ft Fingers built a reputation as one of the UK’s hardest working punk bands throughout the 2000s, earning praise from outlets such as Kerrang!, Big Cheese magazine, and countless DIY punk fanzines. Their sound draws from classic punk influences including The Clash, The Damned, Snuff and NOFX, combining relentless energy with memorable, sing-along melodies.
In 2025, the band continues to thrive, captivating audiences with explosive live performances while working on their highly anticipated new album, which will be their first full-length release since 2008. “Better Days” serves as the opening statement of this new era, setting the tone for what promises to be an exhilarating run into 2026.
With a sound that balances nostalgia and freshness, 4ft Fingers reaffirm their place at the forefront of punk rock, delivering music that is fast, heartfelt and unapologetically alive. Fans old and new can expect a blistering ride as the band gears up for the release of their upcoming album and the next phase of their storied career.
