Cinematic post-rock collective The Color of Cyan returns with “Hail the Mountains”, the first single from their anticipated third studio album, As Human. A towering ode to resilience, the track is now available on all streaming platforms, accompanied by an immersive live performance recorded at Electrical Audio, now streaming on the band’s official YouTube channel.

“Hail the Mountains” captures the sublime tension between permanence and solitude, grandeur and stillness. Built on tremolo-driven crescendos and sweeping orchestration, the composition swells like a landscape sculpted in sound—eventually dissolving into a meditative acoustic resolution. It is a soundscape carved in stone, reverberating long after the final note fades.

Rooted in cinematic post-rock, ambient textures, and orchestral arrangements, The Color of Cyan crafts emotive instrumental music that explores fragility as much as it does force. Their work resonates with both intimacy and vastness—evoking the emotional weight of beauty, devastation, and transformation.

The band’s 2021 debut Agape introduced this sonic identity with haunted clarity—layered and introspective, yet powerfully explosive. Their 2023 follow-up, Egress, refined that expression with rich string arrangements and a deeper emotional focus, capturing the ache of departure and change through textural harmonies.

Now, with As Human, The Color of Cyan expands their palette further—embracing the organic and abstract to explore the complexity of existence. From the unyielding strength of “Hail the Mountains” to the cathartic tension of “Oubao Moin,” the new record reads like a wordless film—probing the boundaries of what it means to endure, to evolve, and to feel.

The band is currently seeking media partners, blogs, and curators to feature or premiere the live performance of “Hail the Mountains,” filmed at the iconic Electrical Audio studio. Media inquiries, playlist placement, and interview requests are warmly welcomed.
