the religion, racism, women or borders, the fear of having wasted an entire life
TO-XO was born in Javi's head in mid-2018. After starting the project with several local musicians, the band closed its formation with Javi Toxo (voice), Anxo Porto (drums and backing vocals), Senén (bass), Santi (rhythm guitar) and Marc Franco (lead guitar).
In December 2019, they performed at the Sala Filomatic in A Coruña, with an EP of
three songs released by Pim Pam Records. After the sold out of that concert, they began a national tour of more than 20 dates, which was interrupted by the pandemic.
In this situation, the group took the opportunity to compose, evolve the sound of
the band, and preparing the entry into Bonham Studios for what will be their first LP.
In 2022, he signs a contract with the Madrid label LadyStone Music, and they present this second album ("UAK"), with two video clips, concerts throughout the peninsula, and first festivals.
UAK (the number 6 in the Mayan language) refers to the change from within, to the pure energy, to emerge into another dimension. It also gives its name to the new TO-XO album, recorded at Estudios Bonham, taking advantage of the pandemic period, slowly, maturing and learning from the process itself under the production. of Jose Manuel Martínez "Bonham" (Deluxe, Nasghul, Black Panda, Hongo, Samesugas, Ultracuerpos...).
