About POLAR SEA: Founded in 2020, POLAR SEA are named after a reference in Fridtjof Nansen’s book ‘Fram Over Polhavet’ – depicting the dark, icy power of the ocean, a quality inherent in the ferocity and vastness of the music. The first release took place in 2022. The focus is on creating music that explores a huge range of styles. The primary principle of the project members is to keep things interesting for themselves.
The cast of musicians features artists from Sweden, Germany, Russia, USA, Portugal, and most of them have never met in real life! Still, the sound of the recording is extremely cohesive, almost as if the musicians were all in a room together. The organic flow of the production adds to the human quality behind the performance.
