Melodic hard rock band XDB returns with a soaring new single, “When the Love Is Gone,” released via MTS Records. A masterclass in dynamic songwriting and emotionally driven performance, the track fuses anthemic hooks, intricate guitar work, and heartfelt lyricism — a signature blend that defines the band’s sound.

Crafted by Robert Kane and brought to life by Rob Kane (vocals), Xander Demos (guitar), Brendan Callahan (bass), Emily Stroup (keys), and Guy Cole (drums), the song explores the emotional aftermath of love lost, capturing feelings of regret and longing with raw honesty.

Lyrically introspective and musically bold, “When the Love Is Gone” is a testament to XDB’s ability to channel classic hard rock influences while pushing modern boundaries. The track highlights Demos’ electrifying guitar solos and Kane’s powerful vocal delivery, all framed by a lush sonic landscape.

At the heart of XDB is Xander Demos, the Pittsburgh-based guitar phenom whose resume includes performances alongside legends like Stryper, Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob, and Lizzy Borden, as well as tours with Tim “Ripper” Owens and James Rivera. His acclaimed solo album Guitarcadia — mixed by the late CJ Snare of Firehouse — solidified his status as one of metal’s most compelling modern players.

“When the Love Is Gone” reaffirms XDB’s place in the hard rock and melodic metal scene — offering not just virtuosity, but soul, grit, and a message that hits home.
