Icelandic musician and painter Myrmann is back with a fresh offering—a new instrumental heavy rock/metal single that continues his exploration of sound and atmosphere. Hailing from the small, cold, and gloomy island of Iceland, Myrmann’s music reflects the vast, raw energy and the melancholic beauty of his homeland.
The latest track showcases Myrmann’s multi-instrumental skills, as he plays guitar, bass, occasional keys, and even adds his own growls to the mix. While the drums are typically programmed, they are mixed with his personal touch, creating a sound that is as expansive as it is dynamic.
Myrmann shares that he has been diving deeper into the art of recording, mixing, and mastering his own music, describing the process as a challenging yet rewarding learning curve. “The sound world is big, but it is quite learnable progress. A lot of trial and error,” he explains.
This new single follows the release of two recent instrumental tracks, Stories Never Told and Secrets of the Occult, as well as three previously released EPs. Each new release reflects his journey in perfecting his unique sound and capturing the emotions he wishes to convey through his music.
Fans of instrumental rock/metal and anyone drawn to expansive, emotive soundscapes will find Myrmann’s music both captivating and authentic.
