After a decade of evolution and silent growth in the underground scene, Italian modern thrash metal stalwarts HELLGEIST officially return with their latest single, "Godless." The track is a surgical strike of Modern Thrash Metal, blending the genre’s traditional aggression with darker, technical, and death-influenced atmospheres.
Since its release, "Godless" has rapidly gained international traction, surpassing 24,000 views on YouTube and attracting significant attention from the South American (Brazil) and Northern European (Finland) metal communities.
The current 2026 lineup represents a turning point for the band, featuring the precision of Elia Dutto (ex-Ultra-Violence) on drums and the solid experience of Samuele Peirano (AnthenorA) on bass. Together with the founding members, they have forged a sound defined by groove-driven riffs and relentless energy.
"Godless is not just a comeback; it’s a statement of intent," says the band. "We wanted to strip away the clichés and deliver something that sounds both classic and devastatingly modern."
Hellgeist is currently back in the studio finishing their upcoming EP, scheduled for release in late 2026.
About Hellgeist
Founded in late 2011 by Alessandro Parola, Hellgeist stands as one of the most resilient forces in the Italian Thrash Metal scene. Their journey began with the raw urgency of the EP What a Hell (2012) and evolved through a prestigious collaboration with Trevor (Sadist) under Nadir Music, the label that launched their first self-titled full-length album.
Despite line-up changes and natural hiatuses, the band’s pulse never faltered. Following the return of original frontman Luca “Juma” Serra and the release of dark, haunting singles like "Religoff" and "Murder Fog," 2025 marked a definitive turning point. The arrival of high-caliber musicians Elia Dutto (Ultra-Violence) and Samuele Peirano (AnthenorA) has injected new blood and steel-clad technique into the band’s engine.
Currently back in the studio, Hellgeist are preparing to unleash a new EP destined to redefine their sonic boundaries: more mature, more technical, and more ruthless than ever.
