Rising heavy metal artist Hate Fuelled Introvert has released a powerful new vocal cover of “One Thousand Lies,” originally by legendary Washington, D.C. nu metal band Nothingface. The track serves as a deeply personal tribute to one of the artists that most shaped his musical identity, capturing the raw emotion, pain, and intensity that defined Nothingface’s cult legacy.

“One Thousand Lies,” an intense demo-era track from 2008, has long held a special place in Hate Fuelled Introvert’s journey as a metal fan. Known for their emotional weight and aggressive honesty on albums like Violence (2000) and Skeletons (2003), Nothingface inspired a generation of listeners—and this cover channels that same spirit of vulnerability and anger. “Nothingface songs feel like they were written for moments of raw truth,” the artist explains. “I can’t cover a song unless it hits me personally.”

Recorded entirely DIY, the cover reflects Hate Fuelled Introvert’s uncompromising approach. Using only a basic microphone connected to his computer, he handled all vocals, mixing, mastering, and production himself. “It’s not perfect,” he says, “but it’s honest. That’s what makes it real.” The release follows his first Nothingface cover, “The End,” continuing a tradition of reinterpreting songs with deep emotional resonance.

Based in Alberta, Canada, Hate Fuelled Introvert is an independent heavy metal project known for raw emotion, self-produced tracks, and lyrics drawn directly from personal experience. Having started singing just months ago, the artist has recently begun working with a vocal coach and is focused on pushing his voice and sound further with future releases.

“One Thousand Lies” is now available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music, with additional access via the artist’s social media and distribution links. For fans of nu metal, Nothingface, and authentic, self-made heavy music, this release stands as a genuine labor of love—honoring the past while forging a fiercely honest path forward.
