Bestiarium, the rising German blackened–death–symphonic metal band, returns with their second single, “La Llorona”, taken from their forthcoming EP. Combining crushing riffs, relentless rhythms, and brutal vocals with darkly cinematic orchestral arrangements, Bestiarium continues to carve out their own monstrous identity in the metal landscape.

Formed around a single creative vision, Bestiarium is a concept band devoted entirely to the world of beasts, monsters, folklore, and mythological creatures. Each release explores a different legend, breathing new life into ancient horrors through a powerful blend of blackened death metal and sweeping symphonic textures.

Their new single, “La Llorona,” delves into one of Latin America’s most chilling and enduring legends. It recounts the tale of a woman driven by madness, grief, and rage, who drowned her children before ending her own life in the same river. Now cursed, she wanders the waters as a vengeful spirit, dragging down anyone unable to answer her mournful question.Musically, the track mirrors this emotional intensity—a storm of steel-hard guitar walls, intricate riffwork, pounding drums, and atmospheric orchestral layers that create a haunting and immersive experience.

The single was mixed and mastered by Jonas Jaeckel, delivering a pristine yet punishing production that amplifies the band’s hybrid sound.

To accompany the release, Bestiarium has developed a separate video series telling the story of La Llorona through an original interpretation of the myth, drawing from multiple cultural sources while remaining faithful to the spirit of the legend. The narration is delivered by renowned German voice actor Alexander Heidepriem, adding a gripping cinematic weight to the storytelling.
