ALKHEMIA UNLEASHES "HÄXEN": A MODERN BLACK METAL MANIFESTO OF REVOLT AND INTROSPECTION

Forged in Lille’s underground in 2021, Alkhemia is set to unleash their most incisive statement yet with the release of their second album, HÄXEN. Following the acclaimed debut Abraxas (2024), the band pushes deeper into a sound that is raw, abrasive, and unmistakably modern, solidifying their position as one of Europe’s most vital new black metal acts. This new chapter sees Alkhemia joining forces with Non Serviam Records.

HÄXEN channels speed, tension, and melodic darkness – a potent blend where emotional collapse meets sharpened clarity. While preserving the raw, aggressive, and abrasive roots of their first offering, Alkhemia evolves towards a richer, more modern, and introspective form of black metal. The album is a multi-faceted journey: violent yet melancholic, fast yet melodic, driven by a constant tension between rage and lucidity. It is a piece of occult, modern, and incisive black metal that will resonate deeply with fans of Mgła, Naglfar, Gaerea, Der Weg einer Freiheit, and Sargeist.

Philosophically, HÄXEN embarks on a journey into witchcraft and the decay of a civilization collapsing into an Orwellian dystopia – a world where those who refuse to conform become outcasts. Through its new tracks, Alkhemia embodies the oppression of these “modern sorcerers” – marginal, dissident, unyielding – stigmatized for rejecting the norms they despise. HÄXEN stands as a cry of revolt for the voluntary loners, a sonic march for the defiant and the free.
