Rising rock band Ox:En is back with their second single, “Sackville,” an industrial groove-heavy track that amplifies their bold and captivating sound. Following the release of their debut track “Luddite” in September, “Sackville” continues Ox ’s fusion of bass-driven intensity and danceable rock energy, adding even more grit and edge to the mix.
Formed in 2024, the band draws on the eclectic sounds of the late ‘90s and early 2000s, layering these influences with a contemporary twist. Comprised of Cameron McDougall (vocals), Michael Williams (bass), Matt Revill (drums), and Martin Murphy (guitars, keys, programming, and production), the band seamlessly integrates diverse musical inspirations. Their sound channels the dynamic energy of Faith No More, the funky drive of Primus, the explosive intensity of System of a Down, the theatrical power of Rammstein, and the atmospheric depth of Deftones.
“Sackville” leans into a signature mix of driven riffs, funk-laden grooves, and magnetic vocals, promising an experience that’s as captivating as it is danceable. Released in October 2024, this single sets the stage for Ox ’s continued impact on the Australian music scene with an anticipated six additional tracks arriving in the coming months.
