Alternative Rock Band Please Use Right Excuses Explores New Emotional Depths in "We Grieve"

After exploring social and political issues in songs like Election (2017) and Tax (2019), and celebrating freedom and the joy of living in Ride (2024), the band Please Use Right Excuses presents its most intimate and emotional work to date. The new single, "We Grieve", arrives on digital platforms on June 6th, bringing a profound reflection on grief, especially when the loss involves a child.

Led by multi-instrumentalist Bruno Costa, the band delves into a more sensitive sound without abandoning the intensity that marks its identity. The recording brings together the group's original lineup, with Junior on drums and Aracelli on bass and backing vocals, in addition to the special participation of a string quartet with arrangements signed by Marcos Alex Costa de Souza.

The result is a composition that balances delicacy and weight. The piano plays a central role in building the melancholic atmosphere of the track, while organic guitars, raw timbres, and dense textures keep the band's alternative essence alive. At the same time, the group expands its creative horizons by incorporating influences from names like Arcade Fire and Evanescence, showing a facet that goes beyond the grunge references that marked their previous works.

In a tribute to Bruno Costa's nephew, who recently passed away, the image portrays the child's room, his last toys, and a letter he wrote to his grandparents.
