“VOICE OF REASON” is wrapped in melodic crushing riffs and pummelling percussion still keeping that signature Secreum sound of well executed melodic death and groove.
Secreum are a 4 piece metal band formed in North London in 2012. With crushing guitar riffs and pummelling drums along with an ear bursting low end in between frenetic solos, it provides the perfect backdrop to convey all the injustices we deal with in life whilst also shedding light on the things we hold most dear.
Arriving on to the local metal scene 9 years ago, they built up a strong and supportive fan base that grew from every show. However, continuous line-up changes and conflicting interests continued to build up, leading to a brief hiatus from 2014. 3 years later, the decision was made to relight the same fire ignited years ago with a renewed sense of energy. After fine tuning material old and new, the time has come for Secreum to finally break through the doors opened by the same bands that have, and continue to influence them, while conveying a message of positivity and introspection.
Their debut EP “EMBRACE” was released on 26th November 2022. Recorded at Ignite AMR Studios over the infamous year that was 2020. “EMBRACE” is a subtle blend of extreme, death, progressive & groove metal which is difficult to pinpoint as being one particular sub-genre.
The second EP “VOICE OF REASON” was also recorded at Ignite AMR Studios (based in Horsham, UK. The studio is owned and run by Secreum’s bassist, Nicholas Meeks, and he has an amazing ear for recording all things rock and metal. “VOICE OF REASON” is wrapped in melodic crushing riffs and pummelling percussion still keeping that signature Secreum sound of well executed melodic death and groove.
