Metal duo Awaken the Ashes releases new single "Pyramid Scheme"

Awaken the Ashes, the Cornell-born metal duo of Aryan Valluri (Val) and Nikhil Raghav Bhatt (NRB), originally release their single "Pyramid Scheme".

Pyramid Scheme confronts the numbing routine of modern life and urges listeners to “come alive” and break free from the pyramid lie they’ve signed onto.

“These songs mean everything to us. Pyramid Scheme really manifested itself,” says Aryan (Val). “NRB and I were always jamming in college, and during sophomore year we came up with most of it in one hour on acoustics! It just owed. It’s a pretty heavy song with a few substyles of metal. Awaken is always trying to give listeners what they deserve — which is everything.”

Drawing on the melodic power of Iron Maiden and Deep Purple, and the modern intensity of Metallica, Slipknot, Trivium, and Lamb of God, Awaken the Ashes blends old-school in uences with unhinged experimentation — pushing metal beyond its comfort zone and sparking something deeply human.
