"Les Fourmis" (The Ants) is a post-COVID analysis by the artist, a vision of this world that is becoming more and more Orwellian, more and more hard and dark
LOMNOUVO is a writing, a voice, a universe in which we dive without restraint... Without concession, always at the limit, on an inner journey, in awareness, in a rant... The music follows the words depending on the style, sometimes very Rock, sometimes softer, it depends on the inspiration, the context or the emotion. Author-composer, this artist has found his own alchemy, tinged with a spiritual, almost strange poetry... Of one who constantly evolves and regenerates, is reborn with each season, like the new man…
"Les Fourmis" (The Ants) is a post-COVID analysis by the artist, a vision of this world that is becoming more and more Orwellian, more and more hard and dark.
The video clip, directed by the artist himself, depicts an oppressive universe, compares madness, speed and human obedience to these insects, these ants. Some images of the musicians are included to show the LIVE energy of this trio.
The groove of the bass/drums duo lays the foundations of a sharp and energetic Rock. The guitars are crunch on the verses, saturated on the choruses, blend and intertwine on the bridge and the end of the song. The lead vocals are held in a gravelly and powerful voice, the end choirs accentuate this explosion of sound.
LOMNOUVO has always been influenced by Rock, the US and UK sound of the sixties, seventies. Rocked by Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix... And then later Grunge with Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam... French artists of course, Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens, Edith Piaf... More recently Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Cake... Classical music too...
Also influenced by the poetry of Arthur Rimbaud, William Blake, Emily Dickinson and many others. Through spirituality, the quest for meaning and self-knowledge, energy practices, God...LOMNOUVO is a mix of all that, sincerity and authenticity on edge...
