Heaven, the six-minute gothic rock ballad by cruxmusique, has gained worldwide acclaim, bringing together Finnish gothic rock legends and Russian avant-garde political activists and modern dance artists in a bold, cinematic

collaboration.

Led by Björn Suomivuori, cruxmusique unites world-class talent, including Johnny Lee

Michaels, known for his work with The 69 Eyes, and Max Lilja, former Apocalyptica cellist,

whose haunting strings add depth to the track’s melancholic grandeur.

The music video and experimental film, directed by Maria Shalagina, was produced by

Natalya Tarasova, with cinematography by Daniel Gorsky, and stars Anastasiya

Gonackova, whose performance evokes an Anna Karenina-esque presence. A striking

anti-war statement, the video merges stark, evocative imagery with contemporary dance,

embodying themes of resistance and resilience through movement.

Heaven has received widespread recognition, winning multiple international awards across

categories for Best Experimental Film, Best Music Video, and Outstanding

Achievement in Music at prestigious festivals including the ARFF Berlin & Amsterdam,

New York Film Awards, Los Angeles Film Awards, and Global Music Awards.

Driven by Suomivuori’s artistic vision, cruxmusique is a dynamic collective of musicians,

visual artists, and filmmakers united by a shared urge to create. A graduate of Queensland

College of Art and an alumnus of The Voice of Finland, Suomivuori continues to push

artistic boundaries.
