Rising deathcore and nu-metal force Cats Season announce the release of their new EP, Revolution — a powerful statement that captures the band’s rebirth after years of upheaval, relocation, and relentless rebuilding. Fierce, emotional, and uncompromising, the EP showcases the band’s most focused songwriting to date and signals their move toward broader international recognition.

At the core of Revolution is the standout track “Grave of All Great Things,” mastered by acclaimed heavy-music producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Thy Art Is Murder). The song is accompanied by a dark, cinematic music video that pushes Cats Season’s visual identity into more intense and psychological territory. The track expands the EP’s narrative, exploring themes of inner fragmentation, toxicity, and self-sabotage colliding with self-awareness, all conveyed through surreal and symbolic imagery.

Across the EP, Cats Season reject formulaic modern metal in favor of something sharper, more personal, and emotionally unfiltered. Each track is treated as a cinematic scene, where layered electronics heighten tension, nu-metal foundations provide structure, and deathcore’s violent catharsis delivers raw impact. Lyrically, Revolution confronts displacement, loss, rage, and the struggle of rebuilding from nothing — reflecting the band’s lived experiences.

Formed in Tehran, Cats Season forged their early reputation through underground shows, raw ambition, and a distinctive fusion of deathcore and nu-metal. In 2020, their studio was raided and destroyed by extremists, forcing the band to relocate to Istanbul. There, they rebuilt from the ground up, establishing Cats House Media as their creative hub, where Revolution was recorded and the music videos for “Poison,” “Grave of All Great Things,” and “Revolution” were produced.

Revolution stands as the culmination of that journey and a testament to Cats Season’s refusal to be silenced. Rooted in the band’s ethos of reshaping metal rather than replicating it, the EP blends cultural influence, personal struggle, and modern production into a sound that feels urgent and alive. More than a release, Revolution is a blueprint for a new wave of heavy music — one forged through survival, defiance, and creative evolution.
