VALAND, the French power metal sensation known for their cinematic symphonies and high-fantasy narrative-wizardry, is set to release their brand-new video single, "Sail On," on February 27th. This track promises to transport listeners into a world where blazing metal meets orchestral grandeur, continuing the band's tradition of crafting immersive musical sagas.
"Sail On" introduces a captivating new chapter in AVALAND's expanding mythology. The single follows the perilous journey of an alchemist who, defying death, falls into the enigmatic Realm of Death. Guided by the God of Time, disguised as the mythical Ferryman Charon, he must navigate the treacherous depths of Hell, protected only by the mystical Gypsum Flower – a powerful artifact first introduced in the band’s two previous albums.
Band leader Adrien shares insights into the creation of the single: "This is the first song composed by our guitarist Lucas. He wanted to record a track to replace my first idea that was too ‘happy’ for what this song is about. Everyone in the band directly loved it and it was really cool to add the final touch all together on this song. All the guys in the band and all the people who could listen to the demo, agree that it’s a really strong track – an epic and dramatic hymn you can’t resist singing!"
AVALAND has steadily built a formidable reputation, having released two studio albums and a live album, and recently completed a successful European tour with power metal giants Rhapsody of Fire.
