French progressive metal trio Theraphosa release new single "Greed"

The new track showcases the band’s ambition for haunting melodies and catchy choruses woven into a real cinematographic atmosphere which keep you hooked all the way until the end

French progressive metal trio Theraphosa has just launched a new cycle of releases with the new single "Greed". It's dark, melodic, catchy and hypnotic. Are you into it?

Theraphosa are a French 3 piece Progressive Metal outfit. Brothers by the blood and by the blood shed, it is since their earliest youth that Vincent, Matthieu and Martin have been playing music together. The religious aura of the Parisian triumvirate blended with the Haute-Couture inspired image catalyzes the mysterious, cold, and yet striking vibe that emanates from the band.

The spider crest brotherhood (“Theraphosa“ = the biggest existing spider on earth) now continue their quest to reach the state of transcendence which started with their eponymous and critically acclaimed debut album released in 2020.

The new single „Greed“ showcases the band’s ambition for haunting melodies and catchy choruses woven into a real cinematographic atmosphere which keep you hooked all the way until the end. It also marks the starting point of a collaboration with Theraphosa’s new label partner, the German based Rock/Alt/Metal label Circular Wave.

Theraphosa comment on the new single: “Greed is about love for money and material goods, a love so deep that it become idolatry. What we possess ends up defining who we are, giving birth to an insatiable desire within us to have more in order to become more, thus generating an abysmal fear of loss, a profound reticence to give. It is a deep disorder the price of which is beyond what the richest of misers could afford. It is an insidious vice, a danger growing at the same pace as fortune. It can come from a need for control, security, comfort, vanity, a deep rooting in the sensitive world.“
